River Rafting on the Guadalupe River with the Jaycees!
June 26, 2010 We're floatin' down the river, taking in some sun! Come join the Jaycees as we float the Guadalupe on a summer Saturday! We'll be leaving Houston early in the morning (details to come) and arrive mid-day to float for several hours, followed by a lunch/dunch/dinner and a long, relaxed ride home. Carpooling is suggested, bring SUNBLOCK and beverages. Keep an eye out for more announcements!! Date: Saturday, June 26, 2010 Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: Guadalupe River, near San Antonio
90th Annual Jaycee Convention – New Orleans, LA June 3-6, 2010
June 3-6, 2010, we attended the USJC 90th Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA. We had a great time with competitions, training and award ceremonies. Our chapter took home: #1 in Parade of Chapters 1st for Chapter Project in Membership Debate/Master Speak Up/ Jeopardy (as a chapter, we represented TX) President Lenney is one of the top 5 chapter presidents in the nation VP Tony is one of the top 7 chapter vice presidents in the nation On behalf of the Texas Jaycees, we would like to thank you for coming. Social events
We have various events for current and potential members just to get together meet new friends, share same interest and talents, stay fit with outdoor actives and sport events, and explore new cultures. Chapter will organize one or two fun events according to member interest and participation. List of activities are : 1. Karaoke hangout 2. Free Concerts and performance at the park like Herman park, Sugarland Tower Square, Discovery Green and others 3. Sport events such as : ping-pong, basketballs, tennis or any other fun outdoor sports 4. Camping or adventure traveling tour out of town 5. Racing on Track 6. Desserts , coffee or fruit ...

Food for Seniors – Monthly Project

We then head over to the Goldberg Towers where we distribute the food boxes the to seniors. This is a great program and the seniors are always very happy to see us, and waiting in line when we pull into the driveway.
