hajcc-logoThe Houston Asian Junior Chamber of Commerce (HAJCC or Houston Jaycees) was started in 1986 by a group of young Chinese and Taiwanese-American entrepreneurs. In 1991, the HAJCC became affiliated with the U.S. Junior Chamber (“U.S. Jaycees”) and the Texas Junior Chamber (“TX Jaycees”).

The main goal of the HAJCC is to help young professionals between the ages of 21 and 41 develop in the following areas: Leadership and management skills, Business development and networking, Community service in the local community, and International awareness and involvement.

The HAJCC aspires to develop individual members and prepare them to undertake social responsibility by offering a wealth of volunteer opportunities such as the monthly Food for Seniors program and an annual health fair and blood drive.

The HAJCC membership has steadily increased over the years to more than 50 active members. The membership has been comprised of professionals from various backgrounds such as banking, engineering, law, accounting, medicine, IT, etc. The HAJCC is a well-recognized organization within the Houston community hosting year round events and providing volunteer services that benefit the Asian communities in Houston.
